Wareham Quay as seen from the bridge over the River Frome

Wareham Quay
Wareham is situated between the rivers Frome and Piddle, and has an ancient quay which now serves anglers and pleasure craft.

Both rivers flow into Poole harbour, and in summer boat trips operate on the Frome between Poole Quay and Wareham Quay. The bridge is a replacement for the ancient one which was demolished in 1927 and obviously marks the navigational limit of the Frome, although small craft can proceed a little further.
